- 1886  (1904)  According to the ordinance of 1886 respecting fire districts, the majority of residents . . . may petition to be formed into a fire district under fire guardians or a fire guardian.
- 1953  That portion of Ontario under organized fire protection today is designated as the "fire district."
- 1955  No person shall set out fire for clearing land, disposal of debris or inflammable waste or for industrial purposes on Crown or private lands within the Fire District during the fire season April 1st to October 31st, except under authority of a Fire Permit.
